Its hard to believe it has already been a year since I returned to New York. The year has been busy and exciting. I’ve made new friends, begun teaching new students, spent the last year studying with such great musicians as Michael Mossman, Antonio Hart, David Berkman, Jeb Patton and John McNeil. I’ve gone to concerts and seen many of my idols perform: Terence Blanchard, Dave Douglas, Sonny Rollins, etc. I even had the opportunity to perform with the great Jimmy Heath and the Queens Jazz Orchestra!
Enough about me. I’d love to hear what each of you have been up to. How is your music coming along? Playing with a band? Hear any great concerts? School? Sports? Life?
