About:

From the Tuba’s first bellowing notes, you can’t help but smile. Add the driving pulse of the drums and you’ll be on your feet before you even notice the trumpets, trombones and saxophones. Even in our digital age, there’s nothing quite like a brass band to get an audience dancing.

A Second Line Sound with a New York twist, the Big Apple Brass Band brings together Funk, Rock, Hip-Hop and BeBop with the infectious groove of a New Orleans Brass Band. After fronting Virginia’s Big Lick Brass Band from 2007-2010, trumpet player Scott Kulick has turned his attention to the New York Audience.

Members:

  • Scott Kulick (trumpet/bandleader)
  • Ryan Messina (trumpet)
  • Jackson Hardacker (trombone)
  • Trevor Long (trombone)
  • Ben Flood (tenor saxophone)
  • Dean Saghafi (baritone saxophone)
  • Bradley Madsen (tuba)
  • Nico Dann (drums)

The Big Apple Brass Band is available with personnel ranging from a Quintet to the full Nine-Piece Brass Band depending on your needs and the size of the venue.
