It is amazing how motivated they are, and how much they’ve improved in such a short time. Although they had been taking lessons previously from other instructors, Scott provided the structure and excitement that was lacking, thereby propelling them to greater musical heights. I will be starting a third son with Scott on piano, and I’m quite confident it will work out perfectly. I highly recommend Scott for all music lessons.

I started taking lessons when i was eight. Now i am almost 10 and know so much that i am filling up my second notebook. When i started taking lessons with him, i knew two notes but now i play guitar so much better because of him. I cant imagine myself playing without him. He has improved my confidence in playing guitar and my speed and strength of fingers have also improved.
I thank scott for teaching me all that i know and for improving my speed and skill. One of my most favorite songs that he taught me is Rude Mood. He always challenges me with new material and i’m always looking forward to new lessons.:D

He is organized and always on time to lessons. He fits his schedule around you and even stays a little extra after lessons are over, just to talk about what you learned. And he doesn’t just teach you music, he engages you into fun activities that can relate to real life.
Over the past year and a half I have learneed so many songs, chords and scales, that I have lost count. And I have never stopped loving it. If you want to learn music the right way, Scott is the man to teach you. :)

I am 1 of 3 total freshman in Symphonic band( a class that i auditioned for) and the only freshman trumpet player. We(the marching band) won our first competition, but there was only one other band in our group. We scored i think in the mid 70’s. So i’ve been improving alot but symphonic band is certainly a challenge. I’ll keep you posted on what goes on. Hope school is good for you.

Tue, 22 Jun 2010 13:43:22 +0000http://www.scottkulick.com/blog/?p=464#comment-115I am the mother of Amelia Witter, age 14, who has taken guitar lessons from Scott Kulick for the past 6 years. When she started lessons at the age of 8, she had only a basic understanding of music. Amelia had asked for 2 years to take guitar lessons before I took her to meet Scott at Ridenhour Music. He evlauated her and said she was ready to start lessons.
Since that time, Amelia has grown tremendously under Scott’s instruction. Scott was able to effectively teach Amelia to play guitar along with an appreciation for music. Scott has always designed public performance opportunities for his students. I have seen Amelia’s confidence grow with each performance.
Amelia competed in the 2009 4-H Share the Fun talent contest. Not only did she progress from the local level to the district level, she won the blue ribbon for instrumental music. Amelia was asked to perform at the closing ceremony where she was awarded a purple ribbon “Best in Show”.
I cannot thank Scott enough for all he has done for Amelia over the last 6 years. All of his students are fortunate to have him as their teacher. He has a tremendous knowledge of music and freely conveys it to his students. Scott is a dedicated teacher and all who study under him in the future will benefit greatly. He will be missed in Virginia.
