After performing together for three and a half years, this Saturday at Fork in the Alley will be the VA Folk-Jazz Trio’s final performance with its original lineup.

Guitarist McDowell Myers, percussionist Jeff Maiden and myself on trumpet will be performing our seasoned blend of jazz, folk and world music.

Come make this a great sendoff party.

The Trio’s been performing Wednesdays at The Cellar for 3 1/2 Years! I can’t believe it either. Tonight is it so I’ve got the original lineup, Guitarist McDowell Myers and percussion phenom Jeff Maiden. Come make it a great going away party!

Any students who did not participate in the performance are expected to be at one of the two group sessions on Tuesday May 11. If you are unable to attend, please let me know by Monday May 10 or be marked absent.

Dear Students & Parents,

There have been some changes to the summer schedule.

• There will be no regular lessons Saturday May 8 through Thursday May 20.
  • For students who participated in the Spring Performance, our Dress Rehearsal on April 24 & Performance on May 1 take the place of these two lessons.
• For all students who did not participate in the spring performance . . .
  • There will be group lessons on Tuesday May 11 at 5:00-6:00 and 6:30-7:30. Attendance at one of these sessions will take the place of one regular lesson.
  • I will also hold individual lessons by appointment only on Monday May 10, Tuesday May 11, and Wednesday May 12.
• Any students unable to participate must contact me by Monday May 10 or be marked absent.
  
• Regular lessons will resume on Saturday May 22.

To accommodate the Student Performance at Longwood Park, the schedule for Saturday May 1st will be as follows:

• 9:30 – Austin S.
• 10:00 – David T.
• 10:30 – Hunter E.
• 11:00 – Chad W.
